1. Overview

AnyVision Media respects your right to control your personal data. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) of South Africa, you have the right to request the deletion (also known as "erasure") of your personal information that we hold.

This page explains exactly what data we may have collected, how to submit a deletion request, and what happens after you do.

2. Your Right to Data Deletion

Under Section 24 of POPIA, you have the right to request that a responsible party delete or destroy personal information about you that:

4. How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your personal data by following these steps:

Send an Email

Email your request to hello@anyvision.media with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". You can use our template below.

Identity Verification

We will verify your identity within 5 business days to ensure the request is legitimate and comes from the data subject (or an authorised representative).

Confirmation & Processing

Once verified, we will confirm what data will be deleted and process the deletion. You will receive a confirmation email once complete.

POPIA requires us to respond to your request within 30 calendar days. In most cases, we complete the process sooner. If additional time is needed, we will notify you with an explanation.

In certain circumstances, we may be unable to delete specific data. These exceptions include:

Legal Obligations

We may be required to retain certain records for compliance with South African tax law (e.g., SARS requirements mandate retention of financial records for 5 years), the Companies Act, or other applicable regulations.

Contractual Obligations

If you are a consulting client with an active or recently concluded engagement, certain project records may need to be retained for the duration specified in your Statement of Work or service agreement.

Legitimate Interest

In limited cases, we may retain anonymised or aggregated data that can no longer be linked to you, for the purpose of business analytics and service improvement.

If any exceptions apply, we will clearly inform you which data is being retained, the legal basis for retention, and the expected retention period.
